Welcome to All Saints, North Street

Welcome to the website of the parish church of All Saints, North Street. All Saints is an Anglican church situated in the centre of the medieval city of York in northern England. The present church, which is mainly fourteenth and fifteenth century, stands on a site hallowed for worship for almost 1100 years. It contains one of the most important displays of medieval stained glass in the British Isles, including the famous Pricke of Conscience window.

Worship at All Saints is in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, centred on the Eucharist, the service instituted by Christ himself. Mass is offered three times a week and our main service is Sung or High Mass, celebrated every Sunday at 5.30pm. We use the English Missal liturgy at this service.
.
Whilst firmly rooted in the Catholic tradition, the worshipping community at All Saints acknowledges and respects the diverse, yet deeply held, convictions of the congregation. Bearing that in mind, and following prayer and reflection, the PCC has passed Resolutions A and B pursuant to the Priests (Ordination of Women) Measure 1992, and has petitioned for Alternative Episcopal Oversight which is currently provided by the Bishop of Whitby. A warm welcome continues to be extended to all who wish to join us in worshipping Almighty God, whatever their views.

The church is open Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 3pm in Winter and 10am and 6pm in Summer. Find us.
